History

A brief history ....

Hendi was registered as name and brand at march the 21st 1934 by the founder of our company, mister Frans Diepeveen senior. So the brandname Hendi does already excist for over 70 years.
After the Second Worldwar, production existed out of making silver-plated and stainless steel cutlery and tableware like cream sets, tea spoons, coffee and teapots etc. Our slogan of that day was "Hendi, lasts a lifetime".

In the sixties and seventies of the last century, production was meanly concentrated at producing stainless steel household articles. At that time Hendi supplied not only retailers and wholesalers, but also production companies like Gero en Sola.

In the eighties import from the Far East and several european countries became more and more important. The delivery program extended and the delivery of catering supplies was emphasized.
Our own production also switched to producing high quality catering equipment and professional gas barbecues.

With the take-over of our company in 1999 by the current management, a new milestone was reached in the long existence of Hendi.
